Hanoi proved to be a gray city on the Red River. The "Year of the Dragon" didn't arrive only from Sunday to Monday with lots of fireworks, but also with lots of rain and storm. We were at the home of Anja, a Downline, when we received the news of the sudden and unexpected death of our friend Double Diamond SakTanaprakob. Heart attack in the Chinese New Year's night. We immediately broke off our stay in Hanoi and rushed to Bangkok to attend the funeral ceremonies. Just hours before his death, I received an email from Mr. Sak with the following text: "Dear Eva, we are waiting for your coming. The sad news: before Chinese New Year, Mrs. Manvika Khunklai (Crown Ambassador and Founders Coucil member) passed away last night. The cause came from rapid cancer. Your schedule is as follow :...... Fremantle is one of the oldest cities in Australia, but full of life, full of boisterous students and backpackers from all over the world. But we spent some relaxing, quiet hours in the house of my sister Gisela, who had emigrated to Australia more than forty years ago. We also took the opportunity to do the needed washing after so many weeks. An even rarer sight: Eva was ironing! And at night, when it was finally cool, we went to the beach. At that time, we could dip our toes into the Indian Ocean. On Monday at the crack of dawn we flew to Singapore. In the venerable "Raffles" it was a British colonial feeling: in a Rolls Royce from the airport to the hotel, an extra-small chair at the dinner for the ladies handbags, always a butler. We tried to do a shopping-tour, but it was just too hot. So we spent two relaxing days mainly in the spa and pool. We completed the stroll after dark when it was finally cool. On our last evening we said farewell with a Rikscha ride through the colonial Singapore. The next day we arrived in Vietnam. Our leaders were already expecting us, and we were immediately smuggled into the first meeting. And so it continued day after day. But more about that next time..... We missed the South Island here during our last visit, and we now visited it extensively. We were lucky with the weather and could explore a country on our own, which combines all the beauties of the earth in a small place: high mountains, deep valleys, meandering rivers, waterfalls, endless, deserted beaches, cliffs, waterfalls, forests, heaths, moors, marches and so on. In Christchurch, where we took our jeep, we could experience several earthquakes in the first night - the impact of a major earthquake more north. It did not matter much to us, because we were still used to swinging underground from the ship. We then drove to the extreme south. We could not get closer to the Antarctic with the car. On the rugged, windswept Otega Peninsula, we could not only see seabirds such as albatrosses, cormorants, penguins and others, but also very adorable little only a few days old baby seals. And in the very southern provincial town of Invercargill Eva discovered (and bought) two oil paintings, which will fit in the ground floor in Ruhpolding. The store name was, appropriately: "Outback Gallery". With abiding impressions we left the fjord country. With its mountains, rivers and lakes, its rain forests and deep, steep gulfs, which struck us in the spell for several days. Really the only possible location for a movie like "Lord of the Rings"! Even the spartan backpacker accomodation fascinated us and the myriad insects did us no harm. The stormy trip to Milford Sound was a real adventure. Since yesterday we are back to the civilization again. We are now (via Perth and Singapore) on the way to Hanoi. Our business partners are waiting there for us. Despite the Chinese New Year, a lot of meetings are planned and organized for us. So, work is waiting for us!.. With 5000m of water under the keel and a 2-m swell from astern, we are traveling to the Fiji Islands. We only contact you as sporadic due to the rarely satellites crossing the South Pacific, and Internet connection is so bad. Therefore, we have enough time. The island groups are so widely scattered that we have many long days at sea and leisure time. The air is warm, about 29° C, the wind can be refreshing and we are making plans in deck chairs. Some dream destinations are already behind us: Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora (French Polynesia) Rarotonga, Aitutaki and the Atoll (Cook Islands) and Nuku'alofa (Tonga). The memories of the green palm trees, clear blue lagoons and white beaches are now all that's left. The sea was always and everywhere warmer than the air, and it was once a tropical downpour, then the rain was warm. Mostly, the sun was burning down from the sky - luckily we had enough Peter Island SPF 15 After Sun. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we spent on sea, and what we missed in White Christmas, the Christmas Vespers did well on board of the Columbus. In the evening, Eva and I were reading the letters and emails we had received despite poor connection. We would like to sincerely thank all because you have brightened our Christmas. Thank you! On the night of the 25th December we crossed the International Date Line, and so we lost a whole day - just the second day of Christmas! We went to bed on 25th and woke up on 27th - in the Kingdom of Tonga. At the shore excursion to Nuku'alofa we had lots of fun, especially Eva, when a inhabitant presented a living sea turtle to say hello. New Year's Eve and New Year we will also spend on sea. Perhaps we have an opportunity to get back to you shortly before. In any case, we wish you a happy and successful 2012. Keep your dreams, don't lose your goal out of sight! This business makes everything possible!.. Eva and I, as marathon veterans, were responsible with David's wife Maiia for the necessary moral support. On the "victory party" on Sunday evening at the Japanese steak house, they were both proud like crazy, and were making plans with each other for the next Nutrilite event. On Monday, we five just had time for an exciting tour around the island, then it was time for Eva and me to say farewell to Oahu. For five days we stopped in Molokai. We love this island, and it seems as the island remained as it was a hundred years ago. Here there are the native Hawaiian population, few tourists, secluded beaches, little cars, no shopping malls, two or three grocery stores, one hotel, one restaurant, absolutely no fast food, all under a clear, glowing sky. Balm for the soul! The departure of Molokai tomorrow will not be very easy, but the South Sea is calling. We are going on to Tahiti. From there we will continue to report what the Amway business also may hold for you... We did not feel very much of that. We sponsored in Baeumenheim. On 1 December our Kumiko Sakamoto brought two Japanese footballers, including their coach into the house. They wanted to be sponsored and trained. The next day, we sponsored two Vietnamese business partners for our Ahn Nguyen. That night we packed our bags because at the crack of dawn we were off to Canada to Latin American LTS in Toronto. There we were already awaited by our Brazilian and Mexican business partners because it gave so much to celebrate. We have two new Diamonds in Brazil, Cristina & Ednaldo Bispo and Wellington & Simone Patricio, and their Uplines, Sergio & Mariza Viera, who qualified for Founders Diamond at the same time. Of course, they brought a group of Platinums, Rubies and Emeralds to the travel seminar again, and the mood was correspondingly bombastic. Amway Brazil's growth of 93% (!) was mainly due to the success of our sponsor lines. Mavi & Salvador Perez, who were so often in Brazil, and this time in Toronto with us, can be proud of themselves. The largest contingent in Toronto put our Mexican friends. They were happy about everything, and finally, that our first book is also available in Spanish. ( As Amway Ada now also authorized it for the U.S. market.) Finally, it was indeed our Mexicans who had requested the Spanish version the most urgently and promoted it. It was cold in Canada, much colder than at home. The obligatory trip to Niagara Falls was a cold affair. But the unusual coldness of the general enthusiasm did not diminish, on the contrary: The Christmas market on the open grounds of the distillery was like a magnet to our people. And if you were to thoroughly frozen, you just went strolling into the Eaton Centre and do last minute Christmas shopping! Toronto had been the last opportunity for us to pursue festive winter fun. Now we are in Hawaii, where our son David is running the marathon with the Russian managers. From there it goes to Tahiti. For Eva and I have decided this year for summer holiday treats - in the South Seas. What we will see will be reported to you. Because we want to show that life holds more than just work and aging, if you decide to build this unique business for yourselves... But we had promised months ago to speak at seminars in Ireland and London. After long discussions with my husband, he made the decision that I should still go to Ireland and London. Stefan, Susan and David, and our grandchildren were there with Dr. , so it was never boring and he hadn't had time to think too much. So, I then arrived, with a certain delay, but just in time in Dublin. I was already eagerly awaited there from old friends and our son Peter, Manuela and Sammy. The mood in the room was great, but impressive were the many new recognitions. The next morning we had to get up early and off to London. However, we were stuck for 3 hours in the airport because the plane could not start because of the fog in London. Later, but just in time, we were in the totally sold out hall in London. I still remember a beautiful May day, a few years ago when we were told that Amway UK had to be closed. I remember the many conversations with our friends in the UK, where I repeatedly encouraged and told them that this will bring the greatest opportunity. And so it was. The Amway business in the UK is growing and growing. Also, we have built 4 new lines in UK in the last 2 years and are incredibly proud of all our business partners in the UK. But especially, we thank our Uplines in the UK: Jurgen & Sally Brinner and Queen mom, who trusted us over and over and believed that they would one day have a new and better business. From any adversity arises a new opportunity. On Monday morning, I took the first plane to Munich. And, believe it or not; no fog in London for the first time. And so I arrived on time at the German Heart Center in Munich. At 3.00 pm I wrote the first email to all the children to tell them that the surgery went well. Peter took the profitable opportunity to immediately put that on Facebook. Unfortunately, after that, a next problem arose and they had to do a cardioversion on Tuesday. And that actually brought the long awaited sinus rhythm. Unfortunately, the MRI on Wednesday showed that the carotid artery Int. was totally closed, and so we went again on Thursday for a surgery for even more stents. However, on Friday morning we left the heart center finally after one week to drive to the mountains over the weekend. Dr. felt very like newly born and I still marvel about what in today's medicine, thanks to sophisticated technology, can be achieved. 15 years ago, my husband received 3 bypasses in a surgery and therefore the entire chest had to be opened. Today, putting a stent is almost totally done without bloodshed. And the recovery process is much easier. Our granddaughter Rebecca came to visit us and together we went for 2 hours to Salzburg on Saturday and enjoyed even to go on the Christmas market. I want to thank everyone for the many emails and good wishes. This week has shown me again that you should enjoy every minute of your life, and should quickly do the work that needs to be done, and then to be free forever. Take advantage of this opportunity and build your Amway business now. It has never been better than today. The month is still not over. You can still achieve much... Our daily walking tours were mist-shrouded. But our business doesn't tolerate sad thoughts long term. On time on November 1st, we flew to Moscow. Eva took part in the RDAC (Russian Diamond Advisory Council) for the benefit of all at the Ritz-Carlton across the Kremlin. I had the opportunity, however to take a stroll through Moscow's main shopping streets with two newlyweds (David & Maya MM). I now believe it: Moscow is the most expensive city in the world! More satisfying was the afternoon. The three of us met with our own group in the Tartarski House for a joyous group meetings. We are proud of our new Gold Distributor, Dr.Greitsch from Dscher Sinsk. Eva cancelled the sumptuous dinner at the Ritz and came to the joy of all over for our seminar. The room was bursting at the seams, more and more chairs had to be procured separately. There is a spirit of optimism in our young lines! In Moscow we have an exciting, performance-oriented Vietnamese Silver Distributor in our organization, she wants to build the business at home, and so we will take her with us to Hanoi next year - as an example of how this business is established: By helping others to succeed. On Friday evening we went to Kiev. We enjoyed the lovely night reception in the VIP area of the airport. In the morning we woke up with bright sunshine, and off we went to the Autumn Seminar of WWD Ukraine. Guest speakers were Sally & Juergen Brinner, Diamant ABOs from UK, and they did their job so well! The "resurrection" of the English Amway business is indeed amazing, but not wonderful, but a shining example of what the worldwide collaboration of TOP4 and WWD can cause. And there is no need to worry about the Ukraine: Inna & Oleg Polyshchuk and their organization are on the upswing! We look forward to new skills! We took the brilliant Ukranian weather home with us. Now the autumn leaves in the Danube valley are glowing in the sunshine. Our granddaughter Rebecca helped us to portion Nutrilite for the next trip. This time will lead us to the west, to Ireland and England. More about this soon... (read more)"Only those who know their goal will find the way"http://www.top4-europe.com/Blog-en/page-9Fri, 28 Oct 2011 10:00:00 +0200was the theme of this autumn seminar in Donauwoerth. Therefore, all had arrived here - from England, Spain, Mexico, Moldovia, Thailand, Ukraine, Switzerland and Germany. The seminar was blessed with international speakers and with an unusual density of Diamonds and Crown Ambassadors: Three Crown Ambassadors, one Triple-Diamond, four Diamonds from seven different countries. It is already clear that at the Spring Seminar in Ruhpolding all German IBOs will be dependent on headphones. The weather was clear, cool and sunny, and so the historical Donauwoerth showed its beautiful side. Guest speakers from Kiev Inna and Oleg Polishchuk even called the national route "Germany's most beautiful road"! As our own property is located just a few miles away, it was inevitable that our business partners visited our home in groups. So we were, beside the seminar itself, fully occupied with group meetings and site inspections. The Mexicans as the well-traveled even managed to convince us to get an extra intensive seminar on Monday to talk to them afterwards. They had earned that with all their motivation and good humor during the seminar, which they spread everywhere with guitar sounds and vocals. It's a fact: Those, who had the longest journey, benefited the most! Crown Ambassador Renate Backhaus said in her speech: It was an unusually harmonious and productive seminar. Alread the gala evening with the welcome dinner at Harburg, the largest intact fortress north of the Alps, was an experience. At the seminar high-profile guest speakers - especially Triple Diamonds Inna & Oleg Polishchuk from Ukraine and the Thai Crown Ambassadors Siriphan & Viroj Boonariya- provided all with the right motivation and goal setting. Also the recognitions were part of the motivation. It's unbelievable what the Mexicans have already achieved in the last year! But everyone else has done well, too. We are proud of you - but you can do much, much more! Make the fiscal year 2011/12 your year of success!.. (read more)
